Microsoft Windows® uninstall may not remove the catalog completely

There is a known issue that can cause the catalog (including file previews) to not be fully removed after uninstalling EdgeRover™, thereby still consuming internal storage space.

When the uninstaller indicates that the software has been uninstalled, a process continues running in the background to delete the catalog. The time it takes depends on the amount of content that was cataloged. We recommend not shutting down or rebooting for at least 20 minutes after the uninstallation appears to have completed, to allow all of the catalog to be deleted.

If you have already uninstalled EdgeRover and suspect that the catalog was left behind, you can remove it manually by deleting the following directory:

macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/com.wdc.edgerover

Microsoft Windows: C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\com.wdc.edgerover

Note that you should not open files in these directories while the uninstaller deletion process is still running. Opening files prevents their deletion, causing them to remain on your internal drive after uninstalling EdgeRover.
