Social media and cloud storage sources
In the EdgeRover™ app, you can add social media and cloud storage sources to your Catalog too! After you add them to your sources, you're able to browse and search them in the Catalog just like any other source. The following content describes how you can add or remove social media and cloud storage sources at your leisure.
EdgeRover currently supports these social media and cloud services:
- Google Drive™
- Google Photos™
- Dropbox™
Add a social media source
You need to catalog your social media source for EdgeRover to add it to your Catalog. To add a social media source:
- Navigate to the Sources tab of the main menu.
- Click Add new Source in the main view.
- Click Add social media account in the details panel.
- Click the social media service you want to add.
- Enter your login credentials for that source.
- Follow the instructions to grant EdgeRover™ permissions to access your content.
- You're redirected to a page with a button. Click Return to EdgeRover™ to return to the app.
- EdgeRover™ begins the process to catalog your newly-added social media source.
Add a cloud storage source
Similar to social media sources, follow these instructions to add a cloud storage source to your Catalog:
- Navigate to the Sources tab of the main menu.
- Click Add new Source in the main view.
- Click Add cloud account in the details panel.
- Click the cloud storage service you want to add.
- Enter your login credentials for that source.
- Follow the instructions to grant EdgeRover™ permissions to access your content.
- You're redirected to a page with a button. Click Return to EdgeRover™ to return to the app.
EdgeRover™ begins the process to catalog your newly-added cloud storage source.
Note: EdgeRover updates the catalog of files in Social Media and Cloud Storage sources once every 24 hours. Therefore, after the first cataloging of the source, it can take up to 24 hours for any album changes you make in the source to appear in EdgeRover.
Remove a social media or cloud storage source
To remove a social media or cloud storage source from your Catalog:
- Click the Sources tab from the main menu.
- Click Disconnect Cloud at the bottom-right of the social media or cloud source.
- You can also click Ellipsis and then click Disconnect Cloud from the drop-down menu.
- Click Continue to provide confirmation in the details panel.
You can choose to restore your social media or cloud storage source. To do so, click Ellipsis and then click Reconnect Source from the drop-down menu.
