First time using EdgeRover™

You made it! You're ready to start using EdgeRover. We're proud that you chose EdgeRover to set up new devices and optimize your experience with them. EdgeRover provides one place to browse your digital content and manage your devices.

Onboarding questions

If this is your first time using EdgeRover, you're presented with a series of questions asking you to tell us about yourself. The better we know you, the better we can optimize your experience. Give us something to work with and we'll show you what EdgeRover can do!

Next in the onboarding flow, EdgeRover presents a questionnaire. Your answers to these questions directly affect your To do list located at the top of the main menu within the online help. EdgeRover offers these intelligent To dos to help you get the most out of your content. For example, you can connect to your social or cloud accounts, register, name, and catalog your device, and much more. Click the To do icon located at the top-right of the main menu to open and close the To do items.

Last in the onboarding flow, EdgeRover asks for permission to collect usage data. This data helps us to improve the quality and performance of our products. We ask for items such as device information and configuration, CPU/device and other usage statistics by application, API calls, service crash information, network status, storage utilization, search terms, location, file attributes (like content metadata), correlations among files, and third-party account information that you link to the service.

The EdgeRover window

Located across the top of the EdgeRover window, we provide other helpful tools, such as:

  • Go Back: Sends you to the previous screen.
  • Go Forward: Sends you to the next screen.
  • Search: Enables you to search for terms of interest; however, Search is not available in all languages.
  • Help: Allows you to send us feedback, learn about tips & tricks, or go to the online help.
  • Settings: Allows you to access options like Account settings, App settings, Language selection, Turbo Mode, Manage your Catalog, and more.
  • To-do items: Enables you to get the most out of your content by performing these tasks.
