New and updated features

Our recent EdgeRover™ releases have been focused on adding cloud sources. We hope you've been taking advantage of the Google Drive™, Facebook, Google Photos™ and Dropbox™ integrations we added.

In parallel, we've been busy working on a major redesign of the application, and you can see the result in this release. Here is a short summary of what's included.

Getting started with EdgeRover

  • A new questionnaire to understand your needs and to personalize the experience for you.
  • A different workflow for new users to assist in the setting up of Western Digital drives and the software.

Redesign of the Sources screen

  • The Sources screen has been totally redesigned.
  • There is a new aggregated view of all devices that have been connected to EdgeRover.
  • Disconnected sources are now more easily distinguished from connected ones.
  • You can now filter Sources by source type.

Content management

  • Content management features are unchanged, but they have been grouped together in a separate section in the main menu on the left of the screen.

Stay tuned for some exciting developments in the near future, as we are adding more features for managing Western Digital external drives.

Bug fixes

  • This release includes miscellaneous bug fixes and performance improvements.
